Marine Outboard Motor Mechanic Description
Location: Winnipeg, MB R3T 1Y1
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (40 hours/week)
Wage: Starting at $30/hr (negotiable based on experience) + overtime

Job Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Outboard Motor Mechanic with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing outboard motors and related marine equipment. This is a hands-on, full-time role for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and isolate engine faults
- Perform repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and testing
- Estimate repair costs and document inspections
- Instruct apprentices when required
- Maintain tools and equipment on-site and on board
- Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
Requirements
- Education: Trades certificate/diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role
- License: Valid driver’s license required
- Tools: Must have own hand tools and steel-toe boots
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Experience with power and hand tools
- Physically capable (lifting, bending, kneeling)
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Reliable, honest, and a solid team player
